Katherine Kilrain-Hayes completed her Bachelor’s of Science degree at Union College in Psychology and Philosophy. After graduation, she served as a pastry chef at Tusca’s Grill in Troy New York, and worked for the Community Gardens/Capital Roots as a member of the Veggie Mobile. The Veggie Mobile is a mobile grocery store that provides healthy food options as well as nutritional and culinary advice to residents of low income neighborhoods. Subsequently, Katherine received her graduate degree in Nutrition Sciences from Russell Sage College and served as the resident nutritionist for the No Boundaries Running Program at Fleet Feet Albany. While working for Fleet Feet, she provided small group seminars to new and experienced runners on how best to prepare for their races, manage their weight and live a healthy lifestyle. Katherine’s focus is not only on helping individuals live healthy lives through better food choices, but also showing them how those food choices can be delicious and satisfying as well.
